Why should you apply for our SU?
This summer we will start a revolution. AEGEE-Paris and AEGEE-Brussel/Bruxelles organise their first Summer University together and will offer you 12 days full of culture, history, discovery, fun, sight-seeing, workshops and friendship.
Wake up, there's a light at the window,
I can hear someone knocking on the door,
There are voices in the street,
And the sound of running feet,
And they whisper the word --
"Revolution!"
As usual for revolutions, days will be busy and filled with activities and nights will be short and sleepless. You will discover the capital of Europe, Brussels and the capital of love and revolutions (two things closely linked), Paris. You will discover why people started revolutions, how the French Revolution still influences European and AEGEEan values, how music can start a revolution and you will discuss why we might need new revolutions.
We will offer you 12 amazing days during which you will discover the capitals of Belgium and France, their culture and history, understand how they are connected and you will for sure also come across the differences. There will be a legendary European night introducing the culture and food of our participants and you will see how we dance the night away in the heart of Europe. During two amazing daytrips you will see more of our countries and visit the picturesque city of Bruges and beautiful Versailles with it famous castle. You will discover Paris and Brussels via really revolutionary city tours, explore the most interesting museums and get a glance into the heart of Europe when you visit the European Parliament. All this will end with a great firework in front of the Eiffel Tower for the celebrations of the French National Day and the of course the French Revolution!

Places to be visited:
Brussels:
The capital of Europe is at the same time the largest city and capital of Belgium. It is famous for its historical buildings, its beautiful parks and of course for being the home to the European institutions. The international and polyglot city is an amazing place for experiencing the AEGEE spirit.
Paris:
Paris is one of the most-visited cities of the world and everyone has heard already about its famous museums, great buildings and of course everybody knows the Eiffel tower. The French capital is a real metropolis and the river Seine invites to spent nice evenings at the waterside.
Bruges:
The picturesque city close to the Belgian coast is often compared to a museum. The city features many original medieval buildings and just waits to be discovered by AEGEE. The whole historic centre has been classified as world heritage by the UNESCO. If you want to prepare for ‘the Venice of the North’, start watching ‘In Bruges’ and be aware that in reality it is even more beautiful!
Versailles:
When Louis XIV of France decided to build his famous castle in Versailles, the small village suddenly became the centre of Europe. The royal family resided here and lived a truly decadent live until they were forced to return to Paris during the French revolution. The castle survived all revolutions and still is a must-see in France.
The amazing park landscape around it and the urban structure of the palaces, churches and markets even became the model for cities as Washington.
